An agitation tank for storing a yeast solution to be supplied to a fermentation tank where fermented foods such as beer are fermented, characterized in that agitating vanes provided in the above agitation tank are so constructed that a maximum diameter of a rotating body formed when the agitating vanes rotate is 60 to 90 % of the inner diameter of the agitation tank, and the height of the rotating body is at least 70 % of a standard depth of a yeast solution stored normally in the tank.
