PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an indwelling needle with an inner needle storage mechanism allowing the storage of an inner needle and prohibiting the storage of an outer needle due to malfunction without precluding quick work.;SOLUTION: This indwelling needle comprises a storage tube 1 having a storage mechanism (an operation part 6 or energizing means 8) in which the inner needle 12 after used can be stored and an outer needle supporting cover member 20 fixed to the storage tube 1 for prohibiting the storage of the outer needle 11 in the storage tube 1. The outer needle supporting cover member 20 is formed in a gutter shape with a cutout portion 20c at a portion of a short tube. It has an inner size large enough to insert the inner needle 12 and smaller than the outer size of a needle base 11a (in details, a collar portion 11b of the needle base 11a) of the outer needle 11.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
