PURPOSE: A pilot signal power measuring apparatus in an asynchronous CDMA communication system is provided to measure the whole power of a base station without separating receive pilot channel signals that have been simultaneously received by a mobile terminal in case that the pilot channel signals diffused to two antenna symbol patterns to at least two antennas so that a power of the whole base station can be measured even though a mobile terminal does not back diffuse a received pilot channel signal to an antenna symbol pattern. CONSTITUTION: A mobile terminal receives a pilot channel signal having the combined first and second pilot channel signals through an antenna. The received pilot channel signal is converted to I/Q digital signals after passing an RF processor and an A/D converter. The converted I/Q signals are back-diffused by multipliers(601,602) by I/Q scrambled codes generated from a scramble code generator(605). The I/Q signals outputted after being back-diffused by the multipliers(601,602) are inputted to integrators(607,608). The integrators(607,608) accumulate the back-diffused I/Q signals in the unit of 256 chip unit for each slot period corresponding to each pilot symbol and output I/Q signals indicating amplitude of the pilot channel signal. The I/Q signals outputted from the integrators(607,608) are inputted to square units(609,610) through switches(614,615) connected at a time point when each slot period is terminated. In order to obtain a power of the pilot channel signal over each slot period, the square units(609,610) and an adder(616) square and add the amplitude of the signal inputted from the integrators(607,608). The signal indicating the power of the pilot channel signal of one slot period outputted from the adder(616) is delayed for one slot period by a delay(617). The adder(618) adds the signal indicating the power of the pilot channel signal of the post slot period outputted from the adder(616) and the signal indicating the power inputted from the delay(617). The signal or information indicating the power of the two slot periods outputted from the adder(616) is inputted to a processor through the switch(619) connected every time when each of the two slot periods are terminated, and the information is transmitted to the base station.
