The device has two uprights (1) fixed on sides of a calf pen (12). The uprights are connected together by an axle on which a frame (4) is fixed. The frame has length and width sufficient for pushing and supporting the back of a calf. The axle is positioned transversally with the calf and above the calf by the uprights. The frame is bent in its lower part for being locked in several positions corresponding to the size of the calf.
