Exhaust manifold for e.g. four-cylinder internal combustion engine, has partition in form of austenitic steel plate having better resistance at high temperatures and/or expansion coefficient lower than that of material of manifold body
The manifold has four inlet pipes (16a-16d) connected two to two at two Y junctions, where each junction has an intermediate pipe opening in an outlet pipe that has a partition (28) between the intermediate pipes. The partition is made in the form of an austenitic steel plate that has better resistance at high temperatures and/or an expansion coefficient lower than that of material of a manifold body. The inlet pipes (16a-16d) are connected to exhaust orifices of a cylinder head of an engine. The partition is made under form of austenitic steel plate from several austenitic steel grade materials presenting thermomechanical properties different from that of material of the outlet pipe.
