The method involves implementing an allocation server (30) in an access point (3). Traffic regulators are implemented in user terminals and connect the terminals with a network via wireless connections. The regulators are configured to allocate determined time portion of the wireless connections to each user terminal based on pre-established rules to obtain optimized data transmission rate. An independent claim is also included for an architecture for optimizing data transmission rate in a wireless network.
