The parts of the flight plan of an aircraft corresponding to the lateral trajectory at low altitude may comprise the freedom of lateral deployment limited either by the risk of collision with the ground, or by the risk of penetration into a forbidden overfly zone. The method makes it possible to the signal to the attention of the crew, on the navigation screen, so that it redoubling attention. It uses for this purpose a detection method similar to that of the taws systems alarm of risk of collision with the ground protection envelopes tied to the aircraft, according to the monitoring the integrity of the spaces necessary for the aircraft to perform flat turns that are as tight as is permitted, while taking account of the local wind.
