The use of an extract (I) of the cells of plant(s) of the Ranunculaceae family is claimed in (or for the preparation of) a composition containing active agent(s) (A), as agent for: (i) promoting cutaneous penetration of (A), (ii) reducing the fixation of (A) to skin tissue proteins or (iii) saturating the metabolic pathway of (A) at the skin. An independent claim is included for cosmetic compositions comprising effective amounts of (A) and (I) in a suitable medium.
