Digital signal compression process for medical imaging, involves obtaining current prediction of digital sample by linear combination of previous digital sample and previously calculated estimation of previous digital sample
The process involves determining a sequence for encoding digital samples of a digital signal from a multimedia entity, where the sequence is determined corresponding to a current digital sample. A current prediction of the digital sample is obtained by linear combination of previous digital sample and previously calculated estimation of the previous digital sample. Independent claims are also included for the following: (A) a process for decompressing a digital signal of a multimedia entity (B) an information processing device including a unit for implementing a process for compressing a digital signal of a multimedia entity (C) an information processing device including a unit for implementing a process for decompressing a digital signal of a multimedia entity (D) a telecommunication system comprising terminal devices (E) a multimedia entity storage device including a digital signal compression device (F) an information medium comprising computer program instructions for implementing a process for compressing a digital signal of a multimedia entity (G) an information medium comprising computer program instructions for implementing a process for decompressing a digital signal of a multimedia entity (H) a computer program stored in an information medium and including instructions for implementing a process for compressing a digital signal of a multimedia entity (I) a computer program stored in an information medium and including instructions for implementing a process for decompressing a digital signal of a multimedia entity.
