The device has two posts (8, 9) between which a cable (10) is tightened to permit traction of water skiers to the top for skiing practice. The cable can be fixed on the post (8) and a guide pulley (16) is carried by the post (9). The pulley allows displacement of a traction cord (4) and a swing bar cord (5) on the cable. The traction of the cable is adjusted by a winch with lever (11), and a drum is driven by an electric motor.
