The method involves determining a polynomial for locating errors in a variable from polynomials belonging to a set of error locating polynomials. A set of values of the variable having value of the variable labeling erroneous aggregates is determined from the determined polynomial. The set of error locating polynomials constitute a Grobner base associated to a word.
