The device has an operating key (50) whose rotation produces a translation of a stud (10) towards top, and opening of a closing unit, by reversal of directions of tapping (38) and a bushing (40) to open a large valve of a gutter washing hydrant by transmitting the translation to a draw axial sleeve (16). The key is completely driven into the bushing, until complete lowering of the stud to close the large valve.
