A hollow brick has hollows filled with an insulating material with a base of loose porous product. The insulating material is made up of a mixture of the loose porous product, water, a thickening agent and possibly other constituents. An independent claim is also included for the utilisation of a mixture of an insulating loose porous product, water, a thickening agent, and possibly other constituents for filling a hollow brick.
