The installation has a longitudinal transferring platform (58) receiving multiple baggage by supporting side by side and comprising conveyor belts (60, 62) on which bases of the baggage are supported for driving movement of the baggage in a longitudinal direction. The platform has a drive pinion (64) contacting supporting sides of the bases to drive simultaneously the movement of baggage in a transversal direction, on the belts.
