The retainer has two rear loops (8a) supported on both sides of a heel (2) of an individual and exerting a pressure on the heel. The rear loops exert a clamping action at lower third of a big tuberosity of a calcaneum (3). The rear loops are tilted from top to bottom and from rear to front by extending from a zone situated above an Achilles tendon insertion upto a zone situated above a calcaneo-cuboidal joint.
