The device has an exhaust pipe (4) comprising a connection body (5) with a collar (8) forming a body flange, and extending with clearance across an opening (9) for passage of a retention unit. The collar is engaged behind the unit and is pushed by the unit (6) against an internal combustion engine`s cylinder head (1) with interposition of a sealing device (12). The unit has circumferential cavities (10, 11) for housing the collar.
