The gate has a chest bar (102) on which a horse is supported during the movement of a horse van body, and a fastening device (118) positioned on the bar for maintaining a hood wall in position along a vertical direction. A bolt mounted on the wall is penetrated into an orifice of the device (118) to fasten the hood wall with the device (118). A frame (106) having an open part extends from the bar to a floor pan (110) of the van body. An independent claim is also included for an animal transporting vehicle having a gate placed opposite to an orthogonal wall with respect to a hood wall.
