The device has two lift trucks, where each lift truck has gripping units (2, 3) to hold and transport a pile of trivets towards or from a processing station. Each lift truck has a trivet presence controlling unit (5) to control, step by step, raising or lowering of the gripping units, based on stacking or unstacking of the pile of trivets. Each lift truck has a pair of guide wheels (11) orientable by an operator during movement.
