The equipment has a spark or glow plug (10) with a function unit (11) and an active sensor (12). The plug has an input and an output confounded into a common terminal to which a cable is connected. An electrical conduction path has a blocking unit to block the return of an ac signal, delivered by the sensor in one state, towards the ground so that power provided to the unit in another state and the signal pass through the terminal. An independent claim is also included for a motor vehicle having spark plug equipment for an internal combustion engine.
