The device has analog and digital cases (10, 20) coupled with each other by a cable (30). The case (10) has a cylindrical part (11) forming a plug carrying contacts (12, 13), a loud-speaker (15) and an audio amplifier. The case (20) has a microphone (25), control buttons and a digital circuit, and is mounted in a passenger compartment of a vehicle situated remote from the case (10) on an upper part of a dashboard. The control buttons are dialing/cutting control (22), a disconnection/cancellation control (23) and a volume control (24). The cylindrical part extends and widens to form a shell (14) containing the loud speaker. The digital circuit has a flash memory, random access memory, a management circuit, a codec and a control circuit.
