The arrangement (22) has a tubular nozzle (24) delimiting an upper seat (26) that is constituted by an upper side of a dummy piston (58). The nozzle is integrated with a body (56) of a common rail (16). The piston has a lower support side (66) that cooperates with a measurement sensor (60) in a manner to determine axial locking force exerted by a lower part (34) of a connecting head (28) of a pipe (20) on the seat. An independent claim is also included for a process for measuring an axial locking force exerted by a lower part of a connecting head of a pipe on an upper seat of a tubular nozzle.
