The transmitter (100) has a keyboard (105) on which an identifier of a receiver (150) to be controlled remotely is input. A memory (110) stores an identification code of the transmitter, and a memory (115) stores the input identifier. The memories and keyboard are configured, at each setting transmitted by the transmitter, for adding the code to constitute a portion of a remote control code.
