The bushing has a conductor (3) covered by a thermo-retractable sheath (7) and maintained inside a rigid tube (1) formed of a cylinder (2). The cylinder penetrates into an explosion-proof case (14) by one of its ends traversing an explosion-proof cable gland (17) mounted in an opening (18) in a wall of the case. The cable gland is fastened on the cylinder. The conductor is constituted of a copper rod with rectangular section. An independent claim is also included for an explosion-proof bushing installation method.
