The track has fixed and movable track units (7, 8), where the unit (8) has a sheet metal profile (13) sliding on the unit (7). The unit (8) has a sheet metal support (12) with a core (14) presenting a bracket housed in a recess. The recess is made by a U shaped cut delimited by a flap. The flap is directly welded on lower portion of the core and a projection zone is welded on contour of the recess to fix the support on the profile. An independent claim is also included for a seat of a vehicle including a base carried by the support of a track.
