The apparatus synthesizes, via an algorithm, the data supplied from GPS technologies and three dimensional (3D) digital geographic cartography. The apparatus restores a virtual panorama of a place or a visual target, on a PDA type screen. An electronic compass and an inclinometer generate additional input data for the algorithm to respectively produce an oriented virtual panorama and identify a visual target.
