Internal combustion engine controlling method for vehicle, involves comparing source pressure in path between reactive agent safety and metering valves to threshold, and providing fault signal if pressure exceeds threshold
The method involves injecting a reactive agent in a direction of passage via a reactive agent safety valve (26), a reactive agent metering valve (27) and a reactive agent injection check valve. A reactive agent source pressure is input in a path (22) between the valves (26, 27). The input pressure is compared to a threshold for a predefined state of the valve (26), and a fault signal is provided if the pressure exceeds the threshold. An independent claim is also included for a device for controlling an internal combustion engine.
