The method involves extracting a key word and a value associated in a markup of an extensible markup language (XML), defining characteristics of XML data flow, and verifying a storing condition. The key word and the associated value are stored locally in a correspondence line of a table, if the verification is positive, in order to use the value following a request for obtaining the value. Independent claims are also included for the following: (A) a device for processing an XML data flow (B) information medium readable by a computer system, particularly CD-ROM or magnetic medium, such as hard disc or a disc, or transmissible medium such as an electrical or optical signal, including instructions of a computer program permitting to implement a XML data flow processing method (C) computer program stored on a information medium including instructions of a computer program permitting to implement a XML data flow processing method.
