The device has wireless transmitters (12) and a wireless receiver (16) respectively transmitting data telegrams at intervals in the times between transmission and receiving data telegrams at activation interval in the times. The former or latter intervals are variable in times such that, at the issue of a terminal duration, a transmission moment of the transmitter coincides with an activation moment of the receiver. The wireless transmitters (12) are provided on measurement data input devices such as water, electricity and gas meters or heating cost distributor, and the wireless receiver (16) is provided on an evaluation apparatus (14) such as mobile reader or fixed data collecting device. An independent claim is also included for a wireless communication method.
