The method involves recording and restoring an audiovisual program from memory of a removable mass controlled by a personal computer and associated software. The computer is connected to a control panel (2) used on a broadcast video tape recorder. The computer has a playback recorder, a series digital audiovisual interface circuit and a digital data exchange interface circuit. An independent claim is also included for an equipment for recording and restoring an audiovisual program.
