Indicated mean pressure predicting method for e.g. diesel engine, involves using representation of stochastic state in which variable of state corresponds to indicated mean pressure at determined crankshaft angle of engine
The method involves using a representation of a stochastic state in which a variable of the state corresponds to an indicated mean pressure at a determined crankshaft angle of an internal combustion engine. An equation of the state is obtained by formulating two instantaneous indicated mean pressures respectively at two angular instants and formulating each instantaneous pressure according to pressure and volume of cylinders.
