The sheath (10) has a split on its longitudinal side and an inner layer (11) comprising glass fibers coated with an elastomer of fire retardant silicone type. A woven outer layer (12) has Nomex type meta-aramid fiber multi-filaments and polyetheretherketone monofilaments. The outer layer is impregnated with polytetrafluoroethylene. The layers are arranged against each other such that the elastomer is in contact with the outer layer.
