ROUTER WITH SYNCHRONIZED UPGRADE OF ROUTING TABLES, FOR A DISTRIBUTED ROUTING COMMUNICATION NETWORK

A router (R), for a distributed routing network, comprises i) a database (BD1-BD3), containing data representing the states of the links between routers of the network, ii) calculation means (MC) for determining routes from these data and update routing tables distributed according to these determined routes, and iii) management means (MG) loaded, in case of reception or local issue of an LSA or TE -LSA at a TAL (R) instant, to determine the elapsed time since receiving or transmitting the last instance of the received LSA or TE-LSA in order to compare it to a chosen threshold, and either wait for the expiration of a current calculation delay, if one is in the presence of a regular TE-LSA, or to trigger a stabilization delay, of a chosen duration and whose start time TAL (R) is used to reset the expiry date of the current calculation delay to a chosen instant, if you are in a sporadic LSA or TE-LSA, in order to order the calculation means (MC), after expiry of the calculation delay time, to determine new routes from the last instances of LSA or TE -LSA received having been issued before a time preceding the expiry date of the current calculation delay of a duration at least equal to a synchronization threshold, and then updating the associated routing tables after expiry of a refresh timer.
