The device has a positioning unit that is integrated with an inner panel of a vehicle door. Another positioning unit is fixed on a body unit (14) of a motor vehicle. A locking screw locks a protrusion (32) between the fixed and movable branches (22A, 22B) of a fork (22), such that the relative positions of the positioning units are maintained. The locking screw extends through the branches of the fork. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) an assembly of an equipment part and a vehicle body unit that are fixed with each other by an equipment part fixation device (2) a motor vehicle door comprising an inner panel and an outer body unit that are fixed with each other by an equipment part fixation device.
