The system has a polymeric insert (7) between a hub of a wheel and a locking ring (5), where the locking ring is made of an incompressible material. The polymeric insert extends in contact with an interior radial wall (52, 53) of the locking ring. The locking ring has an assembly of several identical components that are connected between themselves to form the locking ring. The locking ring is provided with a cord such that the ring is dislodged from a cavity of the hub when a tractive effort is exerted on the cord.
