The method involves equipping a person with a given spectacle having given lenses (31, 32) and a given frame (33) identical to a target frame (13), and directly/indirectly measuring height (h) of a pupillary point (Pu2) in a reference frame related to the given frame. Pupillary distance on target lenses (11, 12) is changed from a centering point (Pc1) of the target lenses. Centering position of the target lenses is assumed with respect to the target frame such that the centering point is located at the same height as the pupillary point in the reference frame. An independent claim is also included for a device for implementing the method of centering a target ophthalmic lens of a target spectacle on a circle less type target frame.
