The controller (1) has a terminal symbol line with a set of terminal symbols for differentiating terminals (21a,22a) of terminal block. A set of LED indicators are arranged adjacent to the block, and are charged or not according to state of signals of the terminals. Each symbol and indicator is placed such that the symbols and indicators are mutually overlapped. The symbols are arranged adjacent to the block in a way corresponding to the arrangement of the terminals on the block. The indicators are mounted on a printed circuit board and the line is traced on an external surface of a rack.
