The flywheel (2) has a thick annular mass (3) and a thin central disc (4), where the flywheel is fixed at one end of a crankshaft of an internal combustion engine. Two diametrically opposite lightening holes (6) are arranged in the material of the disc according to a disposition with respect to the longitudinal symmetrical axis of the crankshaft. The flywheel presents vertical and horizontal flexion modes around an axis contained in a symmetrical plane of the crankshaft and an axis perpendicular to the plane, respectively. The holes are aligned on the symmetrical plane.
