Magneto-inertial propulsion system for e.g. spacecraft, has movable masses swinging on sliding rods, moving integrally with electromagnets and constituted of metal body comprising negative or positive polarity permanent magnets
The system has sliding rods (3) fixed perpendicular to an engine axle (2), and movable masses (4) swinging on the rods. Each mass is retained in its sliding movement by a stopper (5) fixed on an end of the corresponding rod. Each mass is constituted of a ferrous or non ferrous metal body comprising negative or positive polarity permanent magnets at its outer surface. The masses move integrally with electromagnets (8) whose outer surface presents a negative or positive nature.
