The method involves providing an electric grill (2) and a ventilator (3) on a central processing unit. Opening/closing states of the grill and rotational speeds of the ventilator are controlled based on an inner temperature of the central processing unit. The noise produced by the ventilator is lowered due to a slightly opened state of the grill and a reduced rotational speed of the ventilator, when the inner temperature falls. An independent claim is also included for a device for cooling a central processing unit.
