The method involves receiving information concerning video bit stream segments to be inserted in a video bit stream forming a mosaic, coming from assembler nodes connected to video sources. A mosaic video bit stream is created with a main header forming a mosaic stream to be completed. Headers are generated and inserted in the mosaic stream to be completed so as to respect a preset order in the mosaic stream, where the headers represent the segments of the stream to be inserted. The mosaic stream to be completed is sent to a following assembler node based on a preset travel path.
