A plasma welding torch incorporates an electrode (12) extending in the axis of a tuyere (14) for the flow of plasmagenic gas and some flat elements (16, 18, 20) superposed perpendicular to the axis (22) of the tuyere. It also incorporates some channels (60, 78, 94, 100) cut into the flat elements and extending perpendicular to the axis for the passage of gas and cooling fluid. The assembly has a relatively small dimension along the axis of the tuyere.
