The roller has a bearing (10) co-operating in rotation with a fixed shaft of a pad, and a roll band (11) cooperating with a slider, where the bearing and roll band form a monoblock assembly. The pad comprises two lateral guides rotated on vertical axes. The bearing and the roll band are connected with respect to each other by a male peripheral dovetail (12), and a recess is provided on one of the wings of the peripheral dovetail.
