The post has a clamped resisting structure subdivided, in a part extending at a level of glass panes, into parallel clamped sub-structures (10, 20) which are arranged in a manner to define a free space (E) between them. The free space is partly covered by a transparent wall (5) comprising an opaque portion to mask a part of the sub-structures. The sub-structures have hollow sections (11) obtained by an edge to edge welding of a single sheet.
