The device has cradles (4-7) suspended by their ends (4a, 5a, 6a, 7a) at a rectilinear rod (8), and by their ends (4b, 5b, 6b, 7b) at a rectilinear rod (9). The cradles are distributed transversal to the direction of the transport of a belt conveyor and are spaced from each other. A protection plate (10) is fixed on the cradles (4, 7) for the protection of a reentrant angle between the belt and a roller of the conveyor. Attach tabs (11-14) attach the rods (8, 9) to the conveyor.
