The bumper has a support (4) with a traversing central hole in which a rigid blocking finger (5) is axially sliding mounted. The finger is integrated through an end (5a) to a damping body (3). The finger has an enlarged end (5b) housed in a central orifice (13) of an annular portion (6) of the support to prevent the portion from being deformed radially inwards such that, when the amplitude of axial deformation of the body by compression, following an impact, attains a preset threshold, the finger slides axially towards a body unit (T) to disengage the end (5b) from the orifice.
