PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mold clamping device which can apply the same mold clamping force to each lower mold and keep the mold clamping force to correspond to a change with the passage of time during molding when a plurality of lower molds with working errors in mold thickness are set to carry out molding in a toggle mode vertical rotary type or slide type injection molding machine and a mold clamping force adjustment method.;SOLUTION: The mold clamping device is equipped with a tie-bar sensor 19 detecting the mold clamping force, a mold distinction sensor 52, and a controller 75 which calculates the deviation of the mold clamping force from the values detected by the tie-bar sensor 19 and corrects/controls the mold clamping force automatically based on the calculation.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
