PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scorotron type electrifier capable of sweeping ozone staying in the vicinity of the electrifier, especially in the vicinity of an insulator in a shield case, without enlarging a blowing fan and a duct and increasing performance, and to provide an image forming apparatus with the electrifier.;SOLUTION: The scorotron type electrifier comprises the shield case, discharge wires, grid electrodes, and the insulators for connecting these parts and capable of electrifying a photoreceptor. Where, the shield case is provided with sweeping holes between the insulators arranged on both the ends parts of the electrifier and the aperture parts of grid electrodes on the side face of the photoreceptor to be electrified on the downstream side of the moving direction.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
