NETWORK MANAGEMENT SYSTEM, REMOTE MONITORING FUNCTION PROVIDING DEVICE, AND REMOTE CONTROL METHOD USED THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote monitoring function providing device for performing remote control from the existing SNMP (Simple Network Management Orotocol) manager to a non-remote monitoring device which is not equipped with a remote monitoring function.;SOLUTION: An SNMP connection control part 21 analyzes SNMP control data and transmits its analysis result to an MIB (Management Information Base) management part 22. When the SNMP control data is an SNMP-SET request, the MIB management part 22 converts the NMP control data into a setting command of the non-remote monitoring device 3 to be transmitted to a CLI (Comand Line Interface) control part 23. The CLI control part 23 transmits the setting command to the non-remote monitoring device 3, further waits for a response from the non-remote monitoring device 3 and when a response command is received, notifies the MIB management part of a response message. The MIB management part 22 stores the setting content in an MIB, converts the response message into an SNMP-SET response form and returns the response message from the SNMP connection control part 21 to an NMP command response monitoring port 20.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
