PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a press-straightening machine and a press-straightening method which are suitable to straighten a thick steel plate.;SOLUTION: This press-straightening machine is provided with a die mounted in the bottom end part of a straightening ram and a plurality of steel plate straightening means which are uniformly hung down from the lower part of the die, the steel plate pressurizing means have face plates, pressurizing mechanisms for pressurizing a steel plate by pressing the face plate to the steel plate and reaction force detecting means for detecting the reaction force when pressurizing the face plate. The die and the under surface of the face plate are a rectangle or a square and the area of the face plate is taken as not larger than the area of a division equally dividing the area of the die.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
