PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for controlling the decomposition amount of gas hydrate and a system for controlling a decomposition gas amount of gas hydrate, with which the decomposition amount of gas hydrate is controlled according to the decomposition gas amount demanded in storing a gas hydrate.;SOLUTION: The method for controlling the decomposition amount of gas hydrate in storing a gas hydrate under a condition to develop self-preservation effect of gas hydrate comprises obtaining a decomposition ratio β of gas hydrate based on a prescribed numerical expression and controlling the decomposition amount of the gas hydrate.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
